Situated on the north side, North Park's building, playground and parking areas cover a square city block. North Park's mission statement points out the school community "models the importance of literacy and respect for the environment in building a better world one student at a time." It believes that an effective school develops the skills and talents of every student to his or her fullest potential. Its written philosophy supports that belief.
